About


The Design and Innovation Centre (DIC) at CMDR MNNIT Allahabad promotes novel research and initiatives on design and innovation. The discipline of design encourages students to develop innovative products and services through different creative projects. The focus of the Centre is to support innovations that have a strong impact both locally and globally. The Centre fosters a multidisciplinary approach and supports ideas of an innovative nature and offer students and researchers with innovative research proposal.

DIC projects range from digital solutions for health and well being, user friendly method for health counselling, health impacts of environmental issues, development of software’s for any health related aspects and biomedical interventions.

Design Innovation Centre (DIC) is a joint proposal of the Banaras Hindu University (BHU) and collaboration with Indian Institute of Technology – IIT (BHU) funded by Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India. It works on HUb and Spoke model and following institutions are involved:

Objectives


  • Providing knowledge about basic as well as development of healthcare innovations.
  • Teaching an efficient health care delivery and making candidates aware of major sources of intellectual property for healthcare ventures.
  • Learning and practicing a step-by-step prioritizing clinical problems and opportunities for innovation.
  • Developing skills for interdisciplinary collaboration and learning basics of licensing and partnership agreements.
  • Developing communication and leadership skills.
